The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is an international environmental organization, combining the power of more than two million members and online activists with the expertise of nearly 500 scientists, lawyers, policy advocates, and other professionals across the globe to advance policy solutions for the planet and its people around the world. NRDC works in countries including the United States, China, India, Canada, Mexico, Chile, Costa Rica, and the EU.
NRDC’s China Program is at the forefront of supporting China’s efforts on energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate change and environmental protection. We are proud to have collaborated with many academic, governmental, and non-governmental partners around the country to help accelerate these efforts.
Since NRDC’s founding in 1970, protecting natural land and resources, including wildlife, has been one of our core program areas. NRDC works around the world to conserve imperiled wildlife and the habitat and ecosystems on which they rely. The Land & Wildlife Program works internationally to safeguard endangered species from unsustainable international trade, poaching, trafficking and consumption.
NRDC is seeking a China Wildlife Analyst to work with the Land & Wildlife Program and the China Program in our Beijing office.
This Analyst works closely with the Wildlife team to develop strategies and project plans to advance wildlife conservation efforts within China, the United States, and internationally, with a focus on China. The Analyst works with U.S., Chinese, and international partners to push for increased Chinese leadership in global wildlife conservation, particularly as it relates to the species imperiled by the international wildlife trade. The Analyst works with both China and U.S.-based team members and reports to the China Wildlife Conservation Director and the Director of the China Program’s Environmental Law Project.
