The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is the nation's most effective environmental action organization. We use law, science and the support of 3.1 million members and online activists to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places and to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all living things. NRDC was founded in 1970 and our staff helped write some of America's bedrock environmental laws, including the Clean Water Act, and many of the implementing regulations; our water enforcement cases played a major role shaping current water policy throughout the country. NRDC is seeking a Program Assistant to work with the Nature Program in our Northern Rockies office located in Bozeman, Montana. The Program Assistant will support our team with their work to advocate for strong wildlife, climate, and energy policies in the Northern Rockies. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be able to handle the following tasks: budget management and tracking, contract management and expense processing, tabling at public events and other outreach as needed, working with external consultants and partners, writing and proofreading documents, coordinating and booking travel, planning meetings and events, and researching and preparing written materials. Interest in regional environmental policy preferred. This position is located in Bozeman, MT and reports to the Northern Rockies Director in Bozeman.
