    Position Summary

     

    The role of the Deputy Director is to provide Organizational Effectiveness leadership, Design and Communication strategy, Transformation Change Management, leading our internal transformation strategy and facilitation of assessment to improve critical people structure that drive HR organizational success in people capacity, processes and systems effectiveness.  The scope of work may include design, planning, executing, and finalizing HR transformational changes while maintaining high levels of excellence and client satisfaction; systems & people process reengineering, analysis and assessment, identify fit-gap analysis with actionable recommendations and framework for efficiency, capacity and change management.  

     

    This position reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer in our NY office.

    Responsibilities

    • Ownership of HR Transformation, leading organizational development and effectiveness, communication strategy, change management, design and executing delivery of final product
    • Oversees the internal HR communications strategy and announcements for all regional offices to ensure information is effectively cascaded throughout the organization
    • Deliver agile strategies, recommendations and solutions that will overall improve HR employee engagement and HR outcomes
    • Establish HR communications framework and enhance existing processes and internal communications with collaboration across key stakeholders
    • Manage the delivery and production of HR analytics and dashboards for HR Leadership and the organization, develop best practices and tools
    • Conduct targeted process improvement initiatives to determine how these processes can be completed in an effective and efficient manner
    • Lead and facilitate transformation activities such as kaizen events, process reviews, process improvements and techniques.
    • Develop metrics framework to quantify quality, organizational effectiveness, and innovation

    Qualifications

    • 8 – 10 years of experience working on non-SDLC transformational projects; Communications workstreams, Change Management, OD/OE initiatives, or similar experience strongly preferred
    • HR certification, with knowledge of Six Sigma and Change Management is a plus
    • Strategic thinker who understands the ever-changing Human Resource market. Demonstrated ability to transition HR Services to Client Service Delivery.
    • Ability to build, develop and implement and engage in client service delivery approaches; possibly different from the status quo. 
    • Familiarity with project management methodology to help streamline approaches and scope of work
    • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills – especially with engaging with diverse audiences gained through internal and/or external communications and marketing experience.
    • Presentation development and design, experience with PowerPoint and visual storytelling
    • Strong understanding of the issues, strategies and tactics involved in internal communications
    • Exceptional relationship-building skills and trust
    • Demonstrates respect for people by creating the mindset that performing waste free work exudes the ultimate respect for fellow employees
    • Possesses hands on knowledge in value stream mapping, standard work, inventory right sizing and policy deployment
    • Clearly exchanges thoughts, ideas and messages through written, verbal and non-verbal methods that promote an understanding with the target audience
    • Shares information and ideas with others in a timely manner. Listens carefully and attentively
    • Ability to solve complex problems using various tools and gets to root cause. Drives preventative thinking into the application of countermeasures
    • Attentive to detail and accuracy, performs quality work, continuously looks for improvements, finds root cause of problems, seeks opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency
