NRDC is seeking an Analyst, Portfolio Management to work with the Development team in our Washington D.C. office.

Position Summary 

The Analyst, Portfolio Management reports to the Associate Director (AD) of Portfolio Management and is an integral member of the Portfolio Management team. The Analyst will apply their in-depth and practical knowledge of Moves Management and CRM fundraising systems to apply creative database techniques and high-level analyses of our new Moves Management. The Analyst will draft and document policies and procedures, partner with the Donor Systems and CRM team in IT on Salesforce enhancements, along with all other teams in Development as we roll out Moves Management for each revenue team at NRDC.

 

Working under the guidance of the AD, the Analyst is responsible for the capture and oversight of all Salesforce reporting relating to Moves Management components of the database. The Analyst will implement tactics to keep all active portfolios up to date and prioritized. The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting a set of metrics and will provide analyses allowing for the evaluation of portfolio performance. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the moves management workflow with the Donor Systems and CRM teams.
  • Lead the documentation of and training on the policies and procedures of Moves Management in Salesforce.
  • Document and monitor the integration of systems decisions and policies made by the AD of Portfolio Management.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders in Development, IT, and Finance on the creation and maintenance of Moves Management dashboards and reports.
  • Partner with the AD of Portfolio Management to solve any challenges in the implementation and onboarding of new teams into Moves Management.
  • Partner with the AD of Portfolio Management and the Portfolio Management coordinator on capturing data insights from gift officers for reporting and workflow management.
  • Create and monitor project timelines for onboarding new revenue teams in Development to Moves Management.
  • Work closely with database specialists in Development and IT to maintain data integrity and perform routine clean up.
  • Provide coverage for Portfolio Management Coordinator and AD of Portfolio Management with data entry or other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 4-7 years prior experience in prospect research or general development database management of a Moves Management system
  • Salesforce (strongly preferred) or similar CRM database experience required.
  • Tableau experience preferred.
  • Direct experience working within a Moves Management system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data from a wide variety of sources, and present the resulting information in a clear, concise summary.
  • Experience with relational databases and the ability to analyze and export information between systems.
  • Exhibits strong constituent service, organizational, project and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment. Salary is based on a nonprofit scale and is commensurate with skills and experience. Internal equity will be reviewed and considered to determine a final offer. For this position, the salary range is $100,000 to $110,000 

 

Our offices are open and we are operating in a hybrid model. We offer NRDCers flexibility, and we ask them to come into the office and spend meaningful time there in collaboration with their colleagues. We call this purposeful presence.
