NRDC is a non-profit environmental advocacy organization. We use law, science, and the support of 3.1 million members and online activists to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places and to ensure the rights of all people to clean air, clean water, and healthy communities. NRDC was founded in 1970 and our people helped write some of America's bedrock environmental laws, including the Clean Water Act and many of the implementing regulations. Today, our team of more than 700 lawyers, scientists, economists, policy advocates, communications experts, and others work across the United States and the globe from our offices in Beijing; Bozeman, Montana; Chicago; New Delhi; New York; San Francisco; Santa Monica; and Washington, D.C.

 

NRDC is seeking a Client Services intern to work hybrid with the IT team associated with our New York office. This is a paid internship of 6k and we are looking for someone that is completing their undergraduate degree or who has just completed their undergraduate degree.

 

This role would be hybrid Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday out of our New York office. 

Position Summary

The IT, Client Services Intern will provide helpdesk and AV support for the New York Office. This includes the responsibility of identification, prioritization, and resolution of end user help requests, including the monitoring, tracking, and coordination of support functions with other members of the IT department

Responsibilities

  • Provide help desk support for the staff, manage and support client systems (laptops and mobile devices) which includes troubleshooting and resolving a variety of problems.
  • Assist the local NY Technicians in monitoring and reporting connectivity problems with all NRDC resources – Both network and cloud-based services.
  • Setup and support AV requests as needed.
  • Administer user accounts as needed and manage access rights to resources.
  • Understand and maintain IT security policies

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Information Technology
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer - service oriented and reliable – a team-player
  • Knowledge and Interest in AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, collaborative platforms (Teams/Zoom etc.) is a plus.
